Work from home, have a group or business meeting, have a game day with others, just hang out by yourself, or bring in your guitar and play on our stage.
We support a fantastic social initiative – that of training and employing adults with disabilities in a meaningful way.
The Cafe is a project of New Avenue Foundation, a nonprofit organization begun in 2013 by two fathers of adult daughters with disabilities. These dads wanted to expand the social and employment opportunities for their daughters, as well as others, and to ensure that all members of their local communities would feel welcome and valued. To that end, the nonprofit was begun. In 2019, their first employment initiative took root with the New Avenue Café at the Kelly Center for Music, Arts, and Community in Havertown.
New Avenue Café is a place to listen to local music with our Weekend Over Easy morning events. Live music is found at the café every Saturday and Sunday morning from 10 am to noon (and sometimes later). Check out https://newavenue.cafe for the schedule of performers.
